To kill or not to kill?

So, it's all over the news. Death penalty for children? I'm not sure what I think about the death penalty. Hopefully I will never be on any end of it. I think if someone close to me were murdered I would rather know that the person that did it was in jail being tortured! BUT it would also be nice to have them waiting in jail knowing that they were going to die by someone elses hand. I think I might agree with the death penalty more if the punishment fit the crime...exact! Like a person who raped and tortured then strangled the victim, well, maybe that's what should be done to them. They were inhumane to someone, so inhumane things should be done to them. Let the loved ones of the victim beat the murderer with a bat or something if they want to. Throwing rocks at people on the town common actually makes sense to me sometimes! However, I could never do that! I think that's why I have no opinion about the death penalty.

Not too long ago an old friend of mine was murdered by his boyfriend. Then his boyfriend went and committed suicide! That has to be the worst! The families have no idea what went on or why. They have no one to convict or "throw stones" at. THAT has to be the most frustrating type of crime EVER! I'm frustrated just writing about it. That's another reason I don't think I like the death penalty. Would they rather be in jail for the rest of their lives, or would they rather die...it's like the easy way out!
